Elemental 028 extra is a diet food for special medical purposes. Nutritional formulation in powder form, consisting of a mixture of essential and non-essential amino acids, in 100g sachets. Enriched with vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Free of gluten and milk protein. For the dietary management of gastrointestinal diseases such as short bowel syndrome, malabsorption, inflammatory bowel disease and intestinal fistulas. With orange flavor!

To be administered under medical supervision. Unsuitable for parenteral use. Also suitable for catheter administration. Suitable as an exclusive source of nutrition from the age of 5 years. Unsuitable for infants under 1 year.

Recommended dosage:

The recommended dosage should be determined only by the doctor or dietitian and depends on the age, body weight and medical condition of the patient. The recommended concentration is 20% by weight (100g powder in 500ml water, 0,85kcal / ml). For sensitive patients, a dilution of 13,3% by weight (67g powder in 500ml water, 0,57kcal / ml) is recommended. It can be consumed in a more concentrated solution but additional intake of water or diluted solutions is necessary. A dilution of 1% by weight (23,4 g of powder in 100 ml of water) is required to obtain a solution of 427 kcal / ml. It is best served iced.

Instructions for use:

Weigh the required amount of powder in a glass, add a little water and mix until a uniform cream is formed. Continue to stir, adding the rest of the indicated water. Served cool. Store in a dry and cool place. Once reconstituted, it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Stir well before use.
